  1. Like typical GM cars of the era Fiero has poor build quality. That was far from new. Before Fiero the Corvair could have been America's Porsche (the drivetrain was fine, the rest was not fine). American car makers seem to have resented quality. Even the trucks had issues (much love for my Chevy and GM trucks but the bodies rust like mad if you live where there's winter).
