  1. Remote skilled tech workers who are valuable should WFH and do so to the benefit of their employers who need not waste money on traditional office infrastructure. Most workers are not really technical people, they just enter and process data. Most workers are NOT valuable and would be laid off with or without WFH as the market changes. The difference is their employers aren't stuck with useless expensive office space. Real tech workers (important software devs etc employed at high salaries because they generate much more than they cost) cost LESS when WFH. OTOH expendable drones are easy to fire and hire so they're easily fired and hired. If you fail to learn skills vital to the economy then YOU aren't vital to the economy. If you fail to constantly add to your skills and abilities you're less valuable than someone who does. If you are just a an office drone with or without a formal office, those are easy to replace and easy to hire and fire as needed. Those jobs are NOT required to be maintained long term. They do not require difficult skills, just fingers, eyes and a computer. WFH employees in those jobs did exactly the same thing when they commuted. Email and messaging remain email and messaging.
