  1. Support is ephemeral and should not be taken for granted. Russian military incompetence should never overshadow near-complete success at subverting Western masses who are for the most part savagely ignorant and as fiercely proud of their ignorance as the worst Russian nationalists. That Europe ever trusted Putin or ever bought energy from Russia demonstrates the large quisling population had and will continue to have great influence. Had Putin waited for NATO to finish collapsing he'd be laughing in Kiev today. Russia is ontological enemy to civilization of which it was never part beyond borrowing technology. Failure to understand that (no small thanks to over a century of Bolshevik and successor subversion) lead to degenerately naive disarmament which invited Putin to invade Ukraine. Harmlessness is no defense. Ukraine foolishly trusted US guarantees and got rid of the nuclear weapons absolutely and permanently required to contain Moscow. (Poland and Ukraine should build their own nuclear deterrents because no ally can be counted on to take massive casualties to defend another. Same goes for Taiwan since there is no strategic argument for US suicide however earnestly professed.)
