  1.  @grgspunk  That statistic is MAN hours BTW, not "17 hours unavailable for sorties". Hours include ALL repair, inspection and maintenance not just flightline. It's easy for an F-16 unit to maintain more flyable airframes than the aircrew have crew rest to use. Been there done that (engine troop later crew dog on A/B/C?D/CJ).
