  1. When Algeria was allowed to fall Frances fate was sealed. The formerly great colonial power is itself being colonized, and by that reverse colonization is hoisted on its own petard. The more socially liberal a nation the weaker its will to self-defense, for it considers the world entitled to walk in and take over. That of course is its right but actions have consequences.
