@DroneTonSoukhoï...etPafLeMig This is Youtube were the average technical and military illiterate imagines itself intelligent.

The aircrew have by far the most demanding tasks to learn. Maintainers will love life compared to fixing fossils. F-16s are easy to learn how to maintain and to work on in austere conditions. Anyone transitioning from older airframes with much more labor-intensive systems will have an easy time converting as I did from fixing Phantoms. Proximity to European bases means parts won't be difficult to ship and items requiring back shop or depot repairs will be simple to truck or airlift back and forth.

@basscoversimulation3167 Too bad that's a militarily illiterate proposal not least due to lack of water, but also due to tunnelers ability to compartmentalize and drain. The tunnels of Cu Chit in South Vietnam are examples of how gas and water-tight sections can be sealed off by simple design.

Organic artillery will remain vital to nation-state war, even for a superpower like the US (which has neglected its tube arty but wisely invested in rockets and missiles). Towed arty is obsolete except for air delivery which is really for constabulary operations (otherwise it's going to be a bloodbath like obsolete contested beach assaults) so donating serviceable equipment to Ukraine is a fine way to use it for its original purpose....destroying the Red Army.

How many years did you work on, with or fly Vipers and in what capacity? They aren't integrating into the US combined arms network they're integrating into their own established network with their own controllers etc. Ukraine is used to much more awkward, primitive systems while Vipers are quite user friendly. (I've roughly 22 years working A/B/C/D/CJs and four previous on Bronco and Phantom for comparison.)

Cops don't get capital punishment in the US. He'll probably walk.

Shill detected. Pilots in other wars learnt much more finicky and complex-to-use airframes in far less time. You''ve no relevant personal experience so why do you have an opinion?

If they don't like brick and mortar stores closing they should shop online.

Glavset and every other non-professional ignorant are having a field day with this one. Fighters crashing with or without external assistance is normal. This even doesn't really matter to those outside professional aviation as they have no frame of reference. The idea crashes are somehow odd is ignorant. The real world is not Hollywood.

"On" US shores? Did it run aground? Why are illiterates writing headlines for Scripps? The vessel is not "in" the US but "at" the US when it docks.

Because the US are famous for dicking over customers which is frequently absurd. That's why other arms sellers with looser or no ROE remain competitive. This is open and has been for decades.

Americans say they want professional policing but fail to follow through. True professionals thrive on discipline (USAF retired here). I had to warn my Airmen about DWB because many of them had never lived in the South and couldn't understand why they got pulled over. These young troops were mostly nerdy innocents. I'm not surprised this happened because America fails at the civic duty to demand and enforce professional policing. I'd rather deal with military police any day as they're better trained and supervised while being highly accountable.
