  1. GOOD. People with attitudes who think they're free to disregard laws in nations which in NO WAY belong to them merit harsh correction. There really are no legitimate motives for tourism in these areas so the locals already know foreign tourists are there to buy pleasures legal or otherwise. They chose their fate.

  2. China is the historic imperialist enemy of Viet Nam and the world needs periodic reminding, especially the clueless West. Both nations must live together but in order to be taken more seriously Viet Nam must arm itself sufficient to be a credible defensive deterrent. (That means not buying Chinese weapons so they cannot cut Viet Nam off militarily.) Vietnamese can develop their domestic arms industry, perhaps in partnership with South Korea and other modern nations also threatened by Beijing.
