  3. State borders are lines on a map. Simpletons fear change because they're unintelligent. Enemies should not share dirt. Enemies should not pretend they are not enemies. Leftists should WANT to exclude Rightists and Rightists should WANT to exclude Leftists. We have nothing in common and separation is better than war. Leftist urbanites should be delighted at the gift of enhanced political overmatch by redistricting (states are merely legislative districts without truly distinct cultures in the manner of European countries). Unfortunately Leftists cannot tolerate anyone wanting to escape them so they insist on making armed conflict inevitable. Their weakness is they don't want to do their own combat but to have whatever Kremlin they elect handle liquidating "kulak" rurals. Unlike the rest of the world, Americans anticipated Soviet subversion and won't go quietly.

  4. Have you ever wondered WHY that resentment exists? If you dump the eastern parts then you solve that problem for your bit because your enemies will be outside your state! Enemies should not share dirt. As for the "senior citizen" part what makes that at all relevant? I'm OLD too. It's not an accomplishment. (Making Porsche bank OTOH is an accomplishment which lets you live where you prefer and good for you!)

  5. The flip side is you can move where your enemies have no voice which is the ideal way to live in peace and unity. The US is vast so I did exactly that. Why would anyone want to live where their views do not rule utterly?

  6.  @jamesbell739  WHY in that case aren't the blue states delighted to cut loose the people they hate? The Blue states get to exploit the Red states by dumping military bases (that's where vast amounts of tax money goes that's conflated with subsidies) there leaving valuable Blue real estate for profit. Let's not pretend for a second any of this is altruism.

  7. The US is absurdly large, too large to be unified so it is not. Enemies should not share dirt. Americans don't benefit from this giant Federal monster, we're ALL oppressed by it except for our masters who profit. Most countries are much smaller.
