  1. Russia never changes for the good and has been remarkably consistent since Czarist times. While Germany and Japan had toxic governments, their cultures also have deep democratic inclinations (for example the pro-peace Japanese politicians who supported ending WWII). Russia has never produced a decent society for anyone but the boyar class and its masters. It is not logical to believe it ever can. Russia has exiled, imprisoned and executed it's intelligentsia going back centuries. Its empire is far from finished and until that happens Russia will remain existential enemy of European civilization. It's not "politically correct" to point this out but facts care nothing for feelings, even those of Putinist sympathizers. Russia delenda est.
