  1. Wealth in the hands of simple primitives dissipates quickly. They chose not to value education without which wealth is of little use. They don't know what to import to eat that is healthy. They failed to invest wisely in infrastructure suited to the local terrain when they had money to do so. Nicotine and obesity are choices, not some inevitable fate, but their leadership did the predictable third world thing robbing everyone else blind. It's as if there are no functional adults...
