  2. Someone hasn't a clue. Canada has too small a population and manufacturing base to have a "HUGE" fleet let alone man and sustain it. What makes a "HUGE" fleet a defensive necessity vs. other systems that also sink enemy shipping? California alone has a much higher GDP than Canada which has less than forty million population. If worried about invasion just build nuclear weapons and be willing to use them.
