  1. Live in a red state where self-defense and defense of property is legal and those problems go away. There is good reason I do not live in a walkable or crowded area. If you cannot freely shoot rifle practice in your own back yard it IS time to move. I escaped the NY metro area decades ago because everything that happened since was obvious. I don't need a concierge to protect my mail. That reflects failure.
