@0x44_ Cops aren't civil rights experts either. Their perspective based on controlling behaviors by those who object to being controlled. Everything else is generally irrelevant to their education, training and experience.

Prostitution will exist but banning it gives leverage to keep it out of good neighborhoods where it would otherwise damage property values. Some parts of society must be expendable for the good of the majority. Some areas will be used as dumping grounds ("combat zones" was an old term for areas were crimes of mutual adult consent were tolerated) and rightly so because admitting some things can NEVER be eliminated due to public demand is the rational thing to do. Realists do not pretend immutable human realities are otherwise. Bottom feeders will always exist and they will always sell what they sell to get by. Admit that reality then stop trying to fix the inherently unfixable. No society of size is without the world's oldest profession. Keep it out of good neighborhoods since ending it is not possible. Pretending ending it is possible is proven insane by thousands of years of history.
