  2.  @MrKnaives  A-stan belongs to Afghans and the Talibs are far from the most radical contender. Why are you leaving "What the Taliban did..." as an open sentence? What DID they do that should concern outsiders?

  3.  @nofilteralltruth  Yes, and unlike you I've studied this sort of thing since childhood (I'm now over 60). The US reason for invading was NOT to fight Taliban but to destroy Al Qaeda units while aiding local client forces. The US did not invade with intent to build a reformed CULTURE which goes against Islam.
