  1.  @papysambi695  Then Hungarians should ally with Moscow since they stand for nothing. Orban can be the Kadyrov he really wants to be and NATO assistance better spent on actual allies. Hungary owes NATO nothing and this begs the question why it joined in the first place. Hungary is an enemy of NATO for whatever reason so they do not need each other. It's silly to continue the charade.

  4.  @lugardboy  Ukraine was part of the USSR thanks to brute Soviet force, not enthusiasm. In return Russia liquidated Ukrainians by shooting and starvation so they're understandably annoyed.

  7. Hungary is actively sabotaging the accession of Finland and Sweden by delaying the Parliamentary vote. There is no logical reason to do that other than kowtowing to Moscow.

  10.  @Mike.Muc.3.1415  Turkey is historically threatened by Russia and its people know it. It's of too much strategic value due to geography to alienate. OTOH Hungary has under eight million people and is a mere backwater. Erdogan will pass one day as no man is immortal. Before him Turkey was a reliable ally and has a storied history fighting Russians. Strategy demands political compromise sometimes. I'd like to see the NATO nations who support freedom (Turkey supports its own nationalism which is its right but that's very diffferent) draft a "NATO equivalent" treaty to include Sweden and Finland who are reliable assets, particularly the Finns who made Russia pay in blood for every captured meter of their land.

  11. Unfortunately decades of Soviet occupation broke them. They're not nearly as tough as (for example) Afghans who drove out the British twice, then Russia and the US once each. Unlike Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Finland etc who despite MULTIPLE foreign invasions remain unbroken Hungary elected an actual Fascist who gets on with Moscow like the birds of a feather they are.

I'd like to see more not fewer people living under those oppressive machines become American citizens and after over 200 years they're a natural fit.
