  1. It bears reminding that switching countries has a very long history of success. I'm fortunate my ancestors escaped Germany, Poland, Italy, Scotland and Ireland by emigrating to the the US in the 1800s. Likewise the US had Russians and Ukrainians immigrate over the past couple of centuries and do very well. The US remains a destination of choice with so many trying to come it the flow requires management to avoid becoming a flood. Were the situation reversed I'd leave for greener pastures, there being no point going down with a sinking ship.
