  9. The Western quality ethos is completely alien to Chinese business practices which emphasize short term profits not corporate longevity. That works because buyers don't understand why customers should understand technology. (Techies will always be a tiny minority and the average person will never be one or even understand the benefits. Intelligence is abnormal and a matter of luck not choice.) Batteries sold in advanced nations should be strictly regulated. The third world doesn't care and life is so cheap it's worthless but that doesn't mean anyone else should burn for their desperation.
