Intelligent reasons did not exist to avoid proven designs. Intelligent reasons did not exist to use those materials. Intelligent reasons did not exist to avoid hiring engineering talent with demonstrated success. The fool built a contemptibly stupid toy only impressive to technical illiterates. Accomplishment in unrelated fields means nothing. Mere wealth demonstrates one is good at making money, nothing else. The accident did have considerable value as an example of how to do everything wrong. There is zero excuse for amateur incompetence when innocent lives are at stake. The childish compulsion to see rusting junk when museum ships exist drove adults to ignore personal due diligence when they should have stayed ashore. Ignorance is not innovation but at least Stockton Rush won't hurt any more fools.

That near-gibberish absurdly generalized comment reads like ChatGPT drivel and lacks specifics. "Relevance" to what precisely? Why did you post such vague nonsense? Everything idiot boy did wrong was already exhaustively understood by the engineering talent who designed Alvin and other submersibles. I defy you to list anything of value from this clown show except as an object lesson not to be stupid and vain.

Nothing was fine. Reasons do not exist to want that hull design because proven designs have existed for decades. Reasons do not exist to build manned deep diving submersibles without testing to the same safety margins as military submarines.

Fools got what foolishness deserves and thanks to documentation every stupid mistake can educate others. Getting excited over a wreck that's already been done to death is goofy when perfectly good museum ships go begging for funds, but the public crave drama more than information.

Reasons did not exist for a billionaire to avoid copying successful proven designs like Alvin in use for decades. Rush like his foolish passengers had a pathetic craving to visit scrap metal on the bottom of the ocean. Meanwhile museum ships on the surface get no love because the childlike public prefer to drool over wreckage. Fortunately for rest-of-world Stockton Rush is now a joke, a memorial to hubris whose relentless arrogant stupidity got what he asked for. Rush could have paid for a DSV Alvin equivalent designed and built by adults, but that would mean sharing credit.

The man was a billionaire so he in fact had the money to copy success instead of arrogantly building trash.
