Wise people know markets are LOCAL not national and what someone else is doing is not relevant to an individual who plans coldly, methodically and wisely. Many people are doing well and I'm one of them despite being far from rich, but you really have to devote yourself to yourself which takes more work than most want to put in. Choose everything wisely and plan for the long term. Stability and low overhead are key. So is avoiding high COL areas because every dollar wasted on overhead is one less towards your future.
