  3. Living in the desert was never a brilliant idea. Humans like resort towns so it happened. Developer greed put people in nationally sub-optimal locations to which they are now financially attached so they will never relinquish it. Instead they will rationalize and do many amusing things until events force realism. We laugh at other countries where people insist on developing desert. Mote and beam, anyone?

  6. First wise move. Do not live in Vegas unless you are rich. Do not trap yourself in life by even wanting to live in expensive hoods. Cities are bad so I don't live in one. I carefully did what anyone who thinks ahead can do and chose a location I could afford beneath my means (there are many such areas but the news ignores them which may be a good thing for the residents!) that would and did remain that way. Life doesn't care what we want, but does reward cold smart methodical planning. Your life, your call.
