Home Depot DELIVERS. I bought my recent load of roof coating online and it showed up with no effort. I buy lots of DIY supplies I used to travel for from HD and service is excellent.

Californian VOTERS are responsible for who they empower. They imagine themselves better than the rest of the US so zero empathy here. The old days are long gone and today was completely foreseeable and often foreseen. The voters will continue to vote hard Left, forever.

Pinoys and Pinays make great Americans but do warn each other NOT TO LIVE IN CITIES. This is not hard. Never move there, never pretend there is a reason to move there, then go see the rest of the US. Again for the people who may be a bit dense, US cities are bad. Most cities are bad. This does not matter unless you choose to be silly and live in one. I really don't understand why more don't warn each other. The US has enormous economic opportunities particularly near military bases (most of which are near affordable land) for new arrivals so go there instead (especially in SC so I can buy more Filipino food!).

@williamjacobs They have no excuse because they KNOWINGLY supported the policies which reward street crime. If they're baffled, they're socially stupid even if otherwise highly skilled. There is no excuse for believing what they believe about humanity.

The Air Force got me out of north Jersey and an instant career from which I retired debt-free. I haven't felt a recession since 1981 and still have friends around the world from my career. I would joyously do that again.

Voters chose this. No one smart would remain there in the first place but people are too cowardly to devote their lives to moving someplace decent.

To be fair the whole mall business model needed to end because driving vehicles to buy things is absurdly wasteful of time, money and fuel. Malls were born of logistic convenience in an era of terrible communications limited to voice calls and fax. Printed catalogs and slow ordering by phone or mail made locally stocked malls attractive but today they are a waste of time and even getting there is expensive and polluting. This isn't devastation, just positive change leaving old structures of only symbolic value. Repurpose or demo them and their land is free for other uses including residential which can support small, right-sized dispersed grocery stores and other businesses which require public-facing retail. Spending several hours to examine goods then pay for them then transport them (even if you have a truck or SUV) always irked me and millions of others. Today when I want an appliance I can compare prices and user reviews online. Before the internet user reviews did not exist in a meaningful way because print media was so limited and Consumer Reports not every good. Now when I want something it shows up with little fuss on my doorstep or in my mail box. I'm old too and what I see is people missing their youth. I don't and take full advantage of progress.

You mean in BLUE cities where the animals run rampant and the public approve of crime because they are criminals. VOTERS did this. The average American reads therefore thinks at 8th grade level because the average American is too stupid to value learning (in an age when it is easier than ever). VOTERS too savagely ignorant to run a democratic republic deserve everything their CHOICES get them.

It doesn't take much to drive away people with money because they don't need brick-and-mortar stores whose higher cost and lower selection are crushed by online vendors.

I have the internet so why spend time and money to fondle a more limited, more expensive selection? I do not miss the old days of limited, expensive shopping even slightly. I do not WANT a social experience. I want what I desire to buy in my hand with no fuss. The internet doesn't burn expensive fuel, waste valuable time travelling and is immediately responsive. TOTALLY agree on vehicles. I keep most of mine about 20 years and preferred to pay off my homes so I did.

@NTJedi I've been to open-air gold/jewelry markets in UAE and never felt safer. Koranic justice was designed for primitive, savage peoples unable to be different but it works fine in the modern world. I'm no theist but what works, works.

Do NOT forget country living in Red states, but if you are a Democrat stay where you came from because Democrats did this. Cities are for the rich and the incompetent who made bad life choices. I live quite modestly in a semi-rural location. My alarm clock is a rooster and I haven't locked my door in thirty years. The people who live in these Blue dystopias chose then reinforce their fate. The US is a mobile society but few have the wisdom to use that advantage.

@craighunt5426 Not my red state, unemployment is around three percent and manufacturing investment is steady. Democrat pockets have their issues so I do not live in one (nor do I post precise location because I don't want invaders).
