  2. ^Someone gets it. The war has been of immense strategic advantage to the West but few of the public can tell you the difference between strategy and tactics. The Soviet empire mostly joined NATO. Putin drove Finland and Sweden to apply which is a major strategic loss ensuring NATO control of the Baltic. Russia has always been a strategic threat to Turkey who now have a famous aerospace industry whose reputation is built...killing Russians.

  3. Irrelevant to the war and there is massive demand for truck freight so the company is at fault. Trucking has always been hyper-competitive and a trucking company is a paper construct like any other. Trucking company mismanagement and abuse of their drivers is why experienced truckers leave. Then the industry complains about lack of drivers! Many companies including the one my wife drove for (Landstar/Poole) churned through new drivers because it's cheaper to burn through them than pay for experience. Check out some trucker channels on Youtube if you think I'm kidding. Truckers ain't shy about speaking their minds.

  6. America is broken because its culture was fundamentally rustic from the start. (The gentlemen in this video are nothing like ordinary Americans.) The Crown wisely used the Colonies to be rid of "waste people". That did not have immediate effect because our early upper class still produced genuinely educated leaders. It did so because the Founders and peers were influenced by the Enlightenment. That era ended with populism and the inevitable outcome of democracy, idiocracy, which can only promote simple demagogues appealing to what Mencken rightly called the booboisie. The modern world is complex but most Americans read at therefore CANNOT THINK BEYOND an 8th grade level. That should be terrifying. Illiteracy used to be shameful back when Americans were capable of shame but today self-neglect is just fine like all intellectual degeneracy. It's acceptable to be ignorant and stupid. It's acceptable to be low and base. It's acceptable and sometimes admired for an adult to think like a child. In democracy the people are responsible by action or inaction for their fate. America is not a victim of externalities but that explanation comforts the silly. Fortunately we're very good at technology and nation-state war.

The race to the bottom is not helping our nation, just the rich parasites. As for train length, mandate shorter trains. Business owners don't have to like it. FUCK 'EM. If they had ethics this shit wouldn't happen. However rail will never be nationalized because the public are morons and the industry can afford to buy legislators.

Please list by name the "fancy USA weapons" systems which depend on Ukraine power and terrestrial internet communications (satellites are not landlines and military units have had generators since before the First World War. I defy you to support your statement with facts, logic and reason. Assertions are not proof.

  10. Ukraine is couch money and a distraction. Preventing a Soviet respawn is suddenly not a concern among adults who lived through the early Cold War and should know better. Military REFORM is vital but Ukraine is separate from military reform and it's simplistic demagoguery to conflate the two. GWOT was a NeoCon disaster. Ukraine is not GWOT, at all. The Soviet Union Putin seeks to restore predates that era and Russian subversion is directly responsible for the entire Western and global Left. Russia helped kill and wound nearly every US casualty since WWII. Opposing Russia is national self-defense not warmongering. I remember when Democrats and Republicans helped defend the US at the front lines of world democracy in Western Europe when I was on the US side of the Berlin Wall. Today that's forgotten by men who should know better. That will never not be shameful. Confusing EVERY military action with NeoCon conspiracy is childish and naive. I expect that kind of thinking from rustics in red ball caps but we see Democrats are not beyond such oversimplification.
