  1. Florida was cheap because the population was small. That was a long time ago. GROWTH DOES NOT BENEFIT PREVIOUS RESIDENTS, it prices them out. I learned long ago to avoid high growth areas because they make retirement unaffordable. New residents INEVITABLY destroy the reasons they moved there in the first place.
