@markojovanovic9651 They've broken no laws and the consumer is perfectly free to choose different hardware. Apple knows most users consider computers magic and would never upgrade RAM or storage even if that were an option. They get rich serving those customers so no one else should be offended, just amused which I am. Apple target the luxury market quite effectively and their customers are delighted so I see no problem. My choices are unaffected by Apple.

Most people do not need more than a phone and a tablet offer. Most use is content consumption for which Apple devices are excellent. MSFT enjoy inflicting changes no USERS asked for (which is why there are so many utilities to customize Windows installs.

@andreasxfjd4141 Of course and has been for many years. My old P52 has 128GB (I use multiple VM) and thanks to replaceable RAM (which Apple lacks) the usual and very economic upgrade is buy for the CPU while ordering the smallest hdd available, then maxing out RAM and hdd specs. Apple wants max revenue from its wealthy customers so its drives are also soldered. It's a brilliant business model because the vast majority of computer users are helpless and prefer to make as few choices as practical, but more capable customers are better served with expandable machines which can serve much longer.

A thousand bucks is couch money in much of the world and if one keeps a phone for years the cost per year is a trifle. FREQUENCY of an expense matters. I buy flagships then keep them long enough their purchase price did not matter. I demote them to backups on replacement and the total cost to me is background noise.

What an impressive example of corporate suicide by sustained leadership incompetence! Humans made those choices and at their level retired wealthy no matter how badly they screwed up, but apparently there was no blowback. Their engineers were not afraid to innovate but their leadership were clearly cowardly, incompetent and out of touch.
