  1. A thousand bucks is couch money in much of the world and if one keeps a phone for years the cost per year is a trifle. FREQUENCY of an expense matters. I buy flagships then keep them long enough their purchase price did not matter. I demote them to backups on replacement and the total cost to me is background noise.
