@brentsenior7830 But you still CHOSE to begin. No one forced you. It's all your fault.

Who taught them to blame externalities? Choosing to make things worse is not an adult response to anything.

I am not livestock. The world is grossly overpopulated and perpetual growth is foolish. Child-free here at 65 and wouldn't change a thing. There will always be plenty of breeders so I don't need to be one. Producing crotch fruit is not an accomplishment any more than my Golden Comets laying eggs.

@tnoi Housing is a finite resource so the more people competing for it the more expensive it gets.

@EmersonBaker-m5l Compassion DOES NOT WORK and this is proof.

Non-technical humans should understand they are unfit to make technical choices then recuse themselves or get then USE expert help. The miners themselves chose money over safety too rather than leaving for work elsewhere. The sooner coal mines are closed the sooner that bad choice will cease to be an option. Greed is too powerful to trust coal companies.

Deliberately making it difficult to build housing is a choice, like flooding Canada with more humans than its housing can support. Preaporoved plans make perfect sense because those who want something different are free to pay for that. The US desperately needs to do the same. Canada has immense room for more homes without crowding and reducing quality of life.

India should eject all Canadia investment and deter emigration to Canada which is a brain drain on India's tech sector. Every skilled coder, IT expert and engineer who abandons their people is a drag on Indian tech and industrial development. A similar situation happened to the Phillipines where Canadian hospitals lure away trained nursing staff damaging manning at home. Tech progress requires RETAINING talent, not giving it away to the competition. India's tech sector is a vital military asset against the dual threat of India and Pakistan. When Canada (and the US, and Europe) poach the high end talent India loses their highly skilled contribution to society.

@XetaXones Choices like being drunks, junkies and otherwise making bad ADULT choices. Rather common among the weakminded generations incapable of self-discipline. Then they beg scraps from those of us better than they are as if we owe them respect for their loathesome failure.

They chose their lives. They did this to themselves. I don't do Fentanyl so they don't need to either. I'm tired of a world where no one is held to BLAME for their choices. The woman who said "we are not pieces of garbage" chose to be one and should own it but the junkie mind blames everything and everyone else. What about GOOD people trying to raise GOOD families? Why don't good citizens come before bad ones?

If Canadians wanted different outcomes they would vote differently. Democracy means the public like it or not and by action or inaction choose their national fate. Of course the idea of imposing discipline on street people is anathema so there is none. Drunks, junkies, crazies etc will not get better so what remains is how to manage them or not, but they will not change their behaviours.

If US taxpayers wanted professional policing they would vote accordingly and prod their elected officials to do their jobs. Rustic, backward areas with low educational standards have few choices when hiring public servants so they get what they get. This has never been different and cannot change because it's self-reinforcing. I've no idea why anyone from elsewhere would vacation in the US. You can see all the scenery online and nothing else is worthy of attention.
