  1. Most people aren't intelligent enough to value learning and that makes them gullible targets for every kind of grifter. Ignorance used to be shameful but today nothing is shameful. However life is pitiless and people still get what their bad adult choices deserve. There is nothing to be done about it since zealots are unreachable.

  2. They play the cards they're dealt in life and for the money the top dogs make a shorter life is a small price to pay. Everyone dies. Not everyone dies a champion. I don't expect people to be more than they are. Jocks are mostly not more than that and they have no reasons to stop because without bodybuilding they would be and have nothing. They chose their fate.

  4. Gym rats (with exceptions who know who you are) are not the most intelligent lot. Gym participation for other than functional (like military, LEO etc members who need strength for physical combat) reasons is (almost) always driven by vanity of the uneducated.
