Those wanting to change that situation are free to do what every other small grocery does, do it themselves. There is no requirement for large grocery chain stores which are mostly a post-WWII phenomenon. Locally owned and operated small businesses employ many people than large chain groceries and can locate nearer their customers. BTW fresh food is often best sold in farmers markets by multiple small vendors and those offer low income folks a way to make money. Big chain stores are not your friends and killed off many "mom and pop" community businesses. As for health risks, the CHOICE not to drink soda (any soda) and not to eat whatever tastes good is on the individual. There are plenty of monstrously obese rich white folks who can afford any food they might want, but they refuse to make wise choices. Most humans eat unwisely by choice, not circumstantial coercion.
