@je862 Too bad pay in many of those trades (I enjoy machining, wrenching of all sorts and retired as a jet mech) SVCKS. That gap is the only leverage to fix that so long may the gap continue. Collective bargaining is dead EXCEPT for collective disinterest.

@rack9458 That was very much the deliberate impression conveyed in the 1970s and later. I was alive then so not speculating. I didn't believe it but someone of 100 IQ wouldn't have caught on.

PAY WHAT THE MARKET WILL BEAR. Work is compensated because it is suffering not fun. Industry wants more serfs. Cry me a river.
