  1. It was painted gray but was hardly a warship in the sense of being able to give and take damage. In fairness NZ doesn't have a real navy, just a few decorative vessels for utility work. It's far too small to defend itself or even be a useful partner (why it ever made Five Eyes status is a mystery).

  2.  @HVACQualityAssurance  Fmr. jet engine troop among other things. Very cool to see ships taking advantage of the very light weight and high HP of turbines based on aircraft engines.

  3. It's silly to waste a crew on hydrographics when other ships lack personnel. NZ should pay the most competitive civilian hydrographers then save money over maintaining and crewing that vessel.
