  8. WHERE can he not afford a house?? I'm a USAF retiree and took great care not to live in a growing area because growth only benefits rich developers. The smart play (I did this twice and still own both properties free and clear) is buy over five acres in rural land zoned agricultural which gives me maxiumum freedom. Next smart play is buy much less house (not land, more land is good) than you can techncially afford so BAH etc pay a useful chunk of your mortgage. Cities are bad. I escaped on by joining the Air Force and was proven wise by the cost of living in north Jersey which skyrocketed after I left. Rural life is good and the fewer neighbors the better. Air Force retirement covers all my overhead with plenty left over.

  14. Successful anti-theft efforts attack the problem at the scrap yards. This is a solved problem with many examples. Busting the buyer works in the real world. My state is an example. If the voters objected they would vote differently. Criminals are not some category outside the general public. They ARE part of the general public so a pro-crime Democrat administration elected by pro-crime Democrat voters is de-facto inviting criminals to rob all concerned. If Californians were not utterly delighted with things as they are they would choose differently. The state has the power to crush organized crime with the total ruthlessness social enemies deserve. The state is controlled by the people and the people of CA choose their fate. It's easy to interdict scrap metal sales blocking the problem at its source. Require all scrap loads and those delivering them to show valid ID, be fingerprinted, and have their load photographed to save info for potential future prosecution.

When the cops used to be basically part of organized crime (some detectives even did mob hits and Frank Serpico got set up and had to move to Europe for telling the truth about corruption) NYC still kept on. Nothing these days a even close the '70s/'80s body counts but a new soft group came in and are in shock. NY Democrat VOTERS chose this so they deserve it. There is no reason to want to live in NYC and hasn't been for a good couple centuries. It's valuable harbor where generations fell off the boat and those too lazy or afraid to enter the rest of the US stayed and decayed. I left over forty years ago when the area was obviously becoming crowded, overtaxed and unaffordable but I visit old buds who who lacked the imagination to leave. They're finally retiring and cashing out but had to suffer for decades to do that. To stay is to volunteer for victimhood. If NY goes back to crime-ridden normal the smart people can afford to leave and the rich can either leave or pay guards. What remains are chumps who stayed. They'll rob and mug each other just like the past. No one should be surprised.

  25. Sure it will recover once the people who LIVE THERE AND RUINED IT are driven away and gentrification replaces them with decent non-criminals with a functioning work ethic. The problems in all these places are PEOPLE problems and the people are the ones who live there. Americans pretend criminals are some how not "the public" or "society". That othering of them is unsupported by logic or reason. Smart people don't live there and it should not matter what happens to humans who are not intelligent. The sooner Oakland is done the sooner developers can flatten and cure it. Poor people are poor because of many PERSONAL defects so their communities are made horrible by the residents, including those who tolerate crime and raise criminals rather than use birth control;. Nothing of value exists in places like Oakland so the sooner all retail leaves and the residents are forcibly scattered by factors beyond anyone's control the better. The few decent folks had a lifetime to leave even if it's on foot. Americans migrate all the time.

Decent citizens (not Democrats, street crime is a Democrat-facilitated problem) do not want to share space with Democrats and structure our lives and careers to avoid them. I did therefore anyone else with a bit of determination can too. There is no reason to live in Chicago. Sentiment over ancient history is not more than carrying dead mens luggage. Live where you can be legally armed to the teeth among like-minded patriots then laugh while the goblins eat each other. Tragedies will happen, especially because weak people fail to think as I do. Democrats exist to destroy Western civilization so more and faster acceleration is good news in the end. Only when Americans have no choice will they take the fight to the enemy and put them to the sword. Enemies should not share dirt and enemies cannot reform or be converted, only composted. Every day more people learn this lesson by example because words alone cannot teach it.

No one intelligent would live in Oakland and any adult has had their whole life to plan an escape which means if they're still there they are there by CHOICE. Good people don't live in these hoods.   37. Easy. Block off each street takeover with 18-wheelers then confiscate and tow the vehicles. Modern vehicles are expensive to tow correctly without damage and require wrecker operator training. They must be stored where they cannot be stolen or have parts removed so well away from city centers. Vehicles used in crime like any other tool are potentially subject to confiscation after due legal process is followed. They can then be crushed or auctioned for parts after disabling the drivetrain as done during CFC (which was great for salvage parts to keep other vehicles running).

  48. Freedom of association is a right. Baton Rouge does not have to serve the new city and has no more business complaining about what someone else does with their money. People should be able to CHOOSE their government, and St. George simply wants to do so. Liking them or not is irrelevant, there being nothing in the Bill of Rights about butthurt compensation.

Poor adults are poor because of personal choices they make due to their choices to be ignorant. Leaders are FORCED by them to pander to their stupidity. They voted for their mayor. He could rescind the sanctuary city executive order with a stroke of a pen but they do not demand he do that and most have no idea what that order even is.
