Nah. When the cops used to be basically part of organized crime (some detectives even did mob hits and Frank Serpico got set up and had to move to Europe for telling the truth about corruption) NYC still kept on. Nothing these days a even close the '70s/'80s body counts but a new soft group came in and are in shock. NY Democrat VOTERS chose this so they deserve it. There is no reason to want to live in NYC and hasn't been for a good couple centuries. It's valuable harbor where generations fell off the boat and those too lazy or afraid to enter the rest of the US stayed and decayed. I left over forty years ago when the area was obviously becoming crowded, overtaxed and unaffordable but I visit old buds who who lacked the imagination to leave. They're finally retiring and cashing out but had to suffer for decades to do that. To stay is to volunteer for victimhood. If NY goes back to crime-ridden normal the smart people can afford to leave and the rich can either leave or pay guards. What remains are chumps who stayed. They'll rob and mug each other just like the past. No one should be surprised.
