  2. This is a problem inherent with American/Western progressivism as a movement. They reject absolutely no allies because they are "ends justifies the means" type and never stop to reflect upon what they are doing. In the past, it served them well politically by growing their base, but that base includes things like felons (many are pushing for their right to vote), dyed-in-the-wool Marxists, and now pedos. It has to reach critical mass at some point and fall apart; there's just way too many groups, often with competing interests or ideals, and many of them are despicable to the rest of the public or the rest of the movement.
