Comments by "Crazy Eyes" (@CrizzyEyes) on "Motorhead's Lemmy was 'non apologetic & honest' - BBC News" video.
+matthew bailey I started listening to Motorhead when I was in high school. I'm only 24 now. Fortunately I still got to see them in concert twice here in Texas, when Lemmy was 64 and 65 years old. They were both excellent shows, unforgettable, and popped my concert cherry in the best way possible. But when I became a hardcore fan and looked at Lemmy's life, I said to myself, "There's no way Lemmy's going to live for much longer -- I'm amazed that he's lasted this long." I had to accept it because I knew it would come relatively soon, but I continued to enjoy them while they lasted. Lemmy once said that it's silly folks respect other people more when they're dead, but frankly I'm glad that more people are recognizing Lemmy for his one-of-a-kind character and excellent music.

+ThefightingCelt It is really hard to take the author at face value because he sounds very pretentious but he's actually telling the truth. Lemmy's a lot smarter and gentler than he seems and it shows if you look at his personal life. He did things that would offend third-wave feminists like call women pet names, but he respected them where it counted. He just really liked to shag, you know? He even placed it above rock and roll -- in fact it's the reason he got into rock and roll.

+Russell Solomon In his words, "You gotta chase 'em. You can't catch 'em if you don't chase 'em." And he really liked to chase 'em. Also, being intelligent, famous and funny helps.
