  1.  @anonymous.anonymity.  Gee, "human development." That sure is a very vague term that you could apply to anything. What about labor rights? Does that factor into human development? Whoops, we just lost Japan, and probably Singapore.

  2.  @Xeno_Solarus  That is what they are, ultimately, when it comes down to the wire. A "SHTF" type scenario will see most law enforcement either abandon their badges, or become thugs. There is no beneficial act a cop could do that a normal citizen should be restricted from doing. There is no point to being optimistic when dealing with the police, regardless of the circumstances. They are dealing with you because they want something from you and it is their duty to waste your time.

  3.  @katieinhops5163  Politically, that doesn't matter. That's just the cold hard truth of it. If you're a minority (not genetically speaking, but ideologically), your opinion doesn't matter. Even the minorities who are ostensibly represented by major political players, aren't really. For example the majority of Latinos and Latinas are Catholics who would almost certainly oppose abortion, but ostensibly, they are "represented" by almost exclusively abortion advocates. They are used for the political machine because the majority believes representation of minorities is important. The only play you can make in this game is to try to convince those around you to believe what you believe.

  5. That's a really dumb statement, made only for the sake of doubling down. It's obvious that having a weapon on you which is ready to be used within 3 seconds is better than leaving your weapon at home, although it may not be as good as having a weapon that is ready to be used within 1.5 seconds. You might as well remark that "If you don't use a 30 round extended magazine, don't bother carrying." There is always someone else in the world who is more obsessed with readiness than you are.
