@samcerulean1412 Not weird at all. Take a look at what investors prioritize and who's in charge. If governments and investors were reasonable, most nations would have pivoted to nuclear fission a while ago, but everyone apparently believes that every nation still uses Soviet-era technology, safety and labor practices (Chernobyl) or live on a fault line adjacent to the ocean (Fukushima). Not hard to imagine that fusion will also not be invested in, because of sunk cost fallacy.
