@sentarose No, it isn't. Stealing implies a loss of assets. A publisher printed a book, that costs money and time. Then someone steals the book. They lost that money and time for nothing. "Piracy = theft" is a no-brained analogy from people who know nothing about software and data. It costs virtually nothing to make a copy of data, and it can be copied infinitely. Piracy is a murkier subject because there is virtually no way that a company can prove that someone who pirated their book would have purchased it if they did not have access to piracy. In the vast majority of scenarios, they would not have.

This is insanely stupid because the user already purchased the book. It makes total sense for them to stop selling the books, because that's the violation that the publisher committed. It does not make sense to revoke possession of already purchased books.
