@pacifist1360 although the "acorn assassin" definitely was delusional for his actions, the arrested man was on suspicion of having a suppressed firearm, which was what the cop was afraid he had heard. in other words if you don't fool around with illegal activity there's virtually no way you can end up in that scenario unless a cop just snaps one day and decides to blast somebody. it's almost always in these "edge case" scenarios where a suspect has committed some kind of crime, often a minor one, but the cop reacts disproportionately to bad behavior, that result in police malpractice. either that, or a citizen is acting standoffish with an officer because they technically have the right to do so which tends to provoke petty and aggressive officers into behaving poorly. not saying that those cops are justified, but i am saying that if you keep your nose clean and be polite you will not end up in these scenarios. also, don't drive a car. that helps a lot
