@ryanh1013 You're quite naive. It isn't a problem, usually, when Google, Microsoft, Amazon or Facebook collect your info. But that info isn't collected for no reason; it turns into money eventually. They sell the data to third parties, and those third parties do whatever they want with it. This can get annoying very fast. And at worst it can be a security or identity theft problem. It isn't "hurr durr conspiracy theory," it's simple irresponsibility on the part of megacorps who want to make money.
