  4. Protest votes and abstains are meaningless nonsense. Either campaign for a third candidate, and I mean really campaign because that's the only way there will be a chance is if everyone makes their name known, or pick an issue that's most important and vote based on that. The only reason one should not vote is if one acknowledges that they are an uninformed moron and their vote could possibly hurt the election. I voted for Trump because I wanted to avoid WW3 (Hillary was awfully fiery with the Russia rhetoric... and look where we are now that a Democrat is in office, coincidence? Unlikely) and Trump was a possible criminal, while Hillary was a proven traitor. But even that did not matter except in the capacity that Hillary was even more unlikely to deliver good policy. Etiquette, politeness, morals... these are all meaningless in politics. Vote for policy and the ability to execute said policy. There are no moral people in the race for president.

  6. Trump's distasteful behavior is out in the open where everyone can see it. Any other "respectable" politician (especially his opponents) do their distasteful business behind closed doors and pretend to be sophisticated. Their business (such as the Clintons making deals with African warlords) also tends to get far more people killed.
