The people protesting in this way believe that this is "their moment," they are caught up in the "fame and glory" of it all. To them this is just like the cool videos they saw on Twitter. It is not a real situation in which they are preventing people from earning a living by blocking their vehicle. They do not care about the causes they claim to protest because they do not directly block or attack the companies or government entities involved. It is always random bystanders that have to suffer for "the cause," which in actuality is, "the clout they gain on social media." This lady and most of the people around her never thought they were in any real danger. Their only thought was "this is going to go viral when I post it online."

@Obamafrfrfr Weird how only the people standing in the middle of streets seem to get funding from international NGOs tied to investment bankers. Your nation is being manipulated like a puppet on strings, all of ours are to varying degrees, all in the service of some detached guy in a suit who invested in green energy companies. Hilarious that people think that all this money and organization comes out of nowhere out of the sheer goodness of people's hearts.
