He probably had main character syndrome and believed he was sent there because the front needed him and he was the only person that could win Hitler's battles

@TylerMcCaughey I think virtually everyone competent on his payroll agreed that Hitler was an awful strategist, namely towards the latter part of the war. He was excellent at politics, but his war strategy was driven by feelings rather than logic and he trusted bad information that confirmed his conclusions/desires. The entirety of Operation Barbarossa was predicated on the belief that the Soviets had something like half the divisions that they actually had.

@sunclonkt7839 The Mongols were morally opposed to cannibalism because of their spiritual beliefs, so it was arbitrary and varied by culture. But there were morals, even if they were hypocritical.

@MTTC-me5dj Jesters really did have special treatment to most kings. Everything they said was disregarded as meaningless, but that gave them unparalleled freedom to say anything.

Missed opportunity for a "DOOR STUCK, DOOR STUCK! PLEASE, I BEG YOU"

There was an English king who had a contract with a court jester that every year at Christmas season he would be obligated to perform a "jump, whistle and a fart" Sometimes I wish I had the medieval sense of humor

They were in a constant power struggle with their nobility and the Pope. Such struggles were why the Magna Carta was written and why the Anglican church exists.

@frankdecron1306 Not in the lore, if I recall correctly. Just in the game mechanics. That's a problem with every tabletop game though. BattleTech, for instance, is incredibly stupid with its "super advanced technology" and large scale walking tanks, yet the longest range direct fire weapon is the Gauss Rifle with its 1 km range, a total joke for even an infantry sniper rifle in modern times. Meanwhile the Germans were able to invent an artillery piece that had something like 25 miles of range in WW1 and was attached to a rail car. The problem is that kind of scale simply doesn't work on a tabletop if you want to be able to micromanage the movements if the individual walking tanks.

@islamicschoolofmemestudies Well, the entire idea of Aryanism as he and his followers/predecessors posed it is rather ridiculous anyway. Hitler didn't live up to the standard and neither did many of his top brass. I mean look at Goebbels for crying out loud.

He was friendly on the surface, he had his opinions reserved. I believe he thought Goebbels was a degenerate because of his constant sex pest scandals, hated Goering because he was fat, and he thought all the LARPers practicing Germanic paganism were stupid.
