@NEELZE99 You're far too idealistic. I do pay attention and vote, but more because I find it engaging than for any other reason, and because spending ~30 minutes to vote every 2 years is not exactly a difficult ask. I would never expect my vote to actually matter, and it would be insane to go off on one person for voting differently than you. It would be like yelling at a single bacterium for giving you an infection. The world hasn't changed as much as people like to think; the rich are still in charge, they're just better at being subtle about it. However, the Information Age has made massive progress to undermining that advantage.
