Even if you were a woke ideologue, answering with "opinion" would be tremendously dumb. That would imply that other people could decide what gender you are. No trans person has ever answered "You're not a man/woman" with "That's just like, your opinion, man."

The only way you could assert it was not a fact is if you assumed the narrator was being a jerk and calling him a "she" despite identifying as a man. Which is an absurd conclusion to jump to.

@RoadSparrow Norm played stupid for the bit. He would do it to be funny and keep the audience off guard. If he were in this exact situation, reacting to this video like Asmon did, it probably wouldn't be funny to him to just say "I don't get it." It's kinda funny in the context of Asmon, but it would be underwhelming if Norm said it.

@IlRincreTeam Norm probably wouldn't have done the same because it wouldn't really be funny. Norm probably would have prepared a joke ahead of time instead of reacting off the cuff, or he'd do this in a podcast with somebody else.

@rRekko Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he genuinely didn't understand how this is supposed to be controversial. Asmon doesn't strike me as the type of guy who watches political news. You'd have to be aware of statements made in Congress to understand this joke. Asmon immerses himself in gaming news and media and "streamer culture"
