@roller4312 Forspoken turned out the way it did because Japanese executives look at the western market and think "How do we appeal to this?" They naively look at our media and what people say on Twitter to come to this conclusion. So yes, it boils down to an extremely loud and political minority speaking for the rest of us, specifically in the West.

They take a very big picture view of it, to them the integrity of the product doesn't actually matter they just care about the sales. If Publisher A has huge reach and a reasonable price, then they don't care that it will be censored, they assume that it will mostly sell anyway. Because they usually do.
