  2. That's because it's dumb to hold the rank and file responsible. Even if they are genuinely incompetent, it was the executives and managers that hired them. Everything is orchestrated from the top-down in companies like these.

  3.  @grud8495  Eh, I dunno. The staff at the original Blizzard studio got extremely arrogant after the success of WoW. Diablo 3's launch is perhaps the best example of their hubris. I think they made a very large amount of their mistakes without the help of Activision.
