@zinbrew Yeah he'd probably be surprised how many legit artists draw porn because it's a really useful anatomy study.

@airiakizuki5592 You're not profiting off that artist's work. Twitch is profiting off some guy restreaming anime. Companies like Kadokawa are fucking massive and absolutely do care.

@BaschBarrage You're shifting the goalposts. The rule is not to portray Muhammed visually at all, doesn't matter if he is mocked or not. Now you're projecting your own intellectual dishonesty on to me. Adorable.

@lyianx Still funny to me that people think Trump is some kind of horrible low point. We've been in the trenches since Carter. LBJ even. Reagan was shit (despite what many boomers will say), Bush 1 and 2 were shit, Clinton was shit, Obama was shit. But everybody remembers Trump because he wrote some tweets. Trump is barely a blip on the radar, this country is fucking toast. And when it's all said and done, those clowns I talked about will be living in ivory castles while we beg for bread like in the good old serfdom days. In the last 60 or so years only two real issues in this nation were addressed properly: JFK wanted to audit the Fed and got murked for it, and Trump wanted to stem the border bleed. That's it, those are the only two things that mattered and were addressed constructively. The Soviet Union was always going to collapse under its own weight, still hilarious to me that people credit Reagan for that just because he was president when it happened.

@usernameemail There's maybe a handful of anime that I would ever watch dubbed, but stuff like DXD inevitably has absolutely terrible dubs. Will never understand how people tolerate them.

@James-kv3ll You can make the same argument about crack, but that's illegal. "Capitalism!" Wow. I'm so witty.

They won't, because the whole point is that they push the content to you to tempt you into watching it. That's how they make money, in their mind, and how they leverage their machine learning algorithms.

@BaschBarrage Many worthwhile pieces of literature and art are intended specifically to offend people. It does not invalidate them. You do not have a right to not be offended, because it is inevitable that something will offend.
2
@Greyman-Gaming They have some weird grey area policy about artistic expression. I've seen other nude women in music videos as well.

@James-kv3ll Strictly speaking, it's "giving us what we want." Just not at the correct time or place.

@user-lh7mt7zo7l They specified in the new TOS that despite the loosening of the rules they understand that people don't want specific content to show up on their home recommendations. How well it works in actual practice, I don't know because I don't really use that garbage website.

@bananapodre8820 I mean there are way, way, better platforms for finding h-anime and manga. No idea why you would even want to use Twitch.

@Sladed How about the fact that North Africa is now infested with Arabs instead of all the various ethnic groups and cultures that lived there beforehand? I'm an atheist but you have to be a moron to believe that documented historical figures like Jesus Christ and Muhammed never existed.
1
@Nick_MG It's not just disrespectful, it ignores factual evidence. Jesus and Mohammed both existed and their impact on the world is documented and incredibly obvious. Particularly in Jesus' case; we have court records and correspondance between Roman politicians about the issue. He was the spearhead of a religious insurrection, for crying out loud.

There's frankly way more important shit to be worried about and actual sex trafficking rings to be busted. The reason why people make a stink about loli is that it's easy. You can just ban some digital images from a website, done. There's many, many political issues like this. They're like the junk food of politics. They don't make the nation healthier by addressing them, but it's super easy to legislate and speak about. Another good example is gun control in the US (won't ever make an impact unless it's done on a federal scale and good luck doing that, super easy to legislate locally though and pretend you did something while criminals buy guns in the next state over).

@nickcasale2767 Western nations have far more documented sexual assault cases, both involving minors and otherwise. Of course, a common counterpoint I hear to this is "But Japan has more undocumented cases." Which is a convenient fabrication that is literally unprovable because they are undocumented. Sure, there were crime sprees that were scandalous in Japan, but they also freak out when they have more than like a dozen murders in a year. Meanwhile, that's literally a weekend in Chicago, a single US city. Crime is rampant here, and we project that expectation onto other places. Japan has the means to tightly control its population (tiny island chain with strict immigration protocol) so it would only make sense that their crime rates are lower.
