@r00tyschannel52 the energy efficiency is still laughable compared to gasoline. and there's still the whole issue with the fact that virtually all the materials for these vehicles come from China, which is a whole geopolitical can of worms on its own simple logic dictates that if you are getting energy for your EV from a power plant that uses fossil fuels, more of those fuels are being burned (because the EV uses the energy it receives less efficiently than an ICE) than if you had simply driven a car powered by ICE. the first step to environmental care is being efficient with the energy we already get. now if you live in France, which has over half of its grid powered by nuclear energy, you might have some kind of argument for less pollution there, but they're a unique case. in most nations oil lobbyists and "green energy" idiots will keep nuclear energy as a spooky caricature of the Chernobyl incident, something that happened 60 years ago under an incompetent totalitarian regime. or Fukushima, another bout of incompetence which they had years of advance warning to prevent, and caused in large part by its unique location.

@Fiufsciak only if you're homophobic, in this context if you're not there's only three it can have: homosexual, happy (archaic) or brightly colored (archaic) if a man calls a police horse "gay," that is not an insult unless someone takes offense on behalf of the horse. the horse will not be offended because it doesn't understand english well enough and even if it could it wouldn't care. by arresting that man you are implying that calling someone gay is inherently offensive no matter what the context is, even if they are not offended

@OWnIshiiTrolling it is pretty highly correlated with high achievement. Benjamin Franklin, for example, hated sleep and was said to get about 4 hours of sleep a day.

@berengerchristy6256 We literally already did the big hole. There is a gigantic unused storage facility under the Rocky Mountains specifically designed to wait out the spent fuel rods' half lives. Just sitting there waiting for the oil lobby to relinquish its strangehold on the nation.
