@MinecraftMasterNo1 Many people say that and yet nobody in Japan thinks they'll get shot for going to school or the convenience store. Or get hit by a massive truck at a public event. I like America but don't be a contrarian.

@kyotra Overblown and nonexistent are not the same. There are simply no guns to go around for those crimes in Japan; they don't exist. There have been school rampages in Japan, but they involve knives or other implements. And, by the numbers, they are fewer in number. Making the argument that "there is crime, but it isn't reported" is pointless because none of us can prove it. It's like trying to argue in court that "I didn't commit that crime, Your Honor. It was an alien who cloned my appearance." There also isn't gang warfare involving drive-bys or other shootouts. Being pro-gun doesn't mean ignoring crime that actually exists. It means acknowledging that the cat is out of the bag and that we aren't going to get rid of almost 600 million guns by simply making them illegal. Don't be a moron. Better yet, don't be a politician.
