@l0sts0ul89 It's not really about physical strength, but rather about the willingness to confront him. Now, if those women are mothers, I would rate their chances of confronting him as higher than a man without kids.

@Pumarock714 it is, most often, a little of both, but sometimes it is one extreme or the other (i.e. perfect parents with a kid that won the genetics anti-lottery, or a kid that would have been fine had his parents not been monsters)

@oliverwilliam6931 If he didn't know what he was doing, then he wouldn't be filming it for clout. He's filming it because he knows that it is outrageous

@ser6Ijvolk believe it or not children do have agency and it only increases as it gets older. while yes, corporal punishment is a last resort, the alternative is to be a helicopter parent who controls every aspect of the child's life to ensure they never have bad influences. otherwise, those bad influences may cause them to do bad things, despite your best efforts. that has its own problems and creates its own kind of monster. teaching someone to be independent necessarily involves allowing them to make mistakes, and depending on that child's genetics, sometimes the mistakes are worse than others and require an immediate and hard course correction (given a consistent level of parenting competence). no parent is perfect and neither is any child

@jefmoesy that's petty and ineffective. most people who are pricks will only focus on their victimhood if something like that happens to them. they won't have the presence of mind to think that maybe someone got them back for something unrelated that they did before. they're like dogs, they have to be confronted at the moment they are doing the bad behavior and with classical conditioning

@MrPicklerwoof It's not hormonal but it is in an abstract way a part of how kids develop. They test the boundaries of what's acceptable. If there aren't enough boundaries set, then they just keep pushing.

@benjirabbe1205 I believe epigenetics is the exact opposite of trivial. However I'm not well informed enough and from what I understand, there isn't enough research on it.
